In this super easy tutorial I'll show you how I connect to a GoPro Hero 4 Black  and have a root shell on the GoPro.

This can also be done on a Mac.

Just got the new 3DR Tablet Hood in

This is the new Sun Shade for Tablets from 3D Robotics.  

This is a well made collapsible tablet screen hood that should provide adequate shade from the sun while viewing you screen.  It's a vinyl like outside that is not fingerprint resistant.  The inside has some really fine felt like material.  There are 2 magnets embedded in the side flaps that keep it all together.    

FYI: If you don't use the hood and have it stored in the zippered pouch on the backpack, you won't be able to take off from the backpack as it will complain about "Magnetic Interference"

How to use the 3DR Solo Reverse Yaw feature

A short tutorial on how to use the Reverse Yaw along cable feature.  This is an option in the 3DR Solo Smart Shot Cablecam selection.  You can set the feature before or after you set you A and B points.  It can add a quite a dramatic look to a simple Cablecam shot when used properly.

Hitlers staff tell him that he needs to register his Solo with the FAA.  As you can guess this does not go over well with him but somehow they turn it around to a good thing.

How to balance 3DR Solo props and hubs.

In this tutorial I show you how I balance 3DR Solo props and hubs.  There are several ways to do this and I will show you the easiest one in my opinion.  I will be using the DuBro prop balancer and the EJH balance rod. 

As I mentioned earlier there are other ways to do this, I will be using tape and nail polish during this video.  You can also sand the props which is a permanent change and can not be reversed and others use Super glue gel or hot glue to do the hubs.

3DR Solo Motor Sounds test

Simple test to listen to all 4 motors individually.

I think there may be an issue  but I am not knowledgeable in this area.

Sorbothane #30 Durosheet mod Sound test

I did the mod of adding the Durosheet pieces under the battery tray,
When it is hovering in from of me it sounds way different, "quieter".
So I pulled a clip from before the mod and today's test after the mod and can't seem to hear any difference from the GoPro side.

Solo CableCam Repeat-ability test

3DR Solo CableCam
Setup Cablecam Points and then flew between the points twice
Here is what I found.

No it's not frame accurate but did you really expect that.
But it is really good and it was not the best of conditions for this test.
